COM-port

hcnw.gif (3855 bytes)The first model of Tryndelka was connected to PC's RS232 (COM) port at 19,200 bps and only initial data (DA conversion results and fret number) was transmitted. Firstly, algorithm of note detection was implemented and debugged on Delphi.

This time Tryndelka is able to perform note detection itself, much better than first prototype. It sends MIDI commands through MIDI-OUT at 31,250 bps. Now RS232 interface is removed from the board because it is no longer needed.

The principle of implementation of RS232 interface using PCP is shown at the figure.
